Marjorie McAtee
I hold a BA in English and French from Hollins University, where I spent the best years of my life. I've been writing since I was old enough to clutch a crayon in my chubby baby fist. I wrote my first short story when I was four, and published my first poem when I was twelve. More recent work appears in publications including Amarillo Bay, Flashquake and The Blotter.
For the past few years I've been paying the bills with SEO content and copy work. My work appears all over the Web; I've ghostwritten for prominent pet care, fitness and medical websites. I write under my own name for sites such as WiseGeek.com, BakPakGuide.com, and TheCircumference.org. I recently contributed to The Encyclopedia of Cultivated Plants, forthcoming from ABC-CLIO in 2013. When I'm not writing, I enjoy snowboarding, rocking climbing, travel, jogging, yoga -- anything that gets me away from the desk. You can follow me on Twitter, find me on Facebook, read my awesome blog, or just email me at marjoriemariemcatee@gmail.com.
